How to spot a toxic person in your life, SELF-reflection, are you the toxic person in someone’s life

You leave feeling emotionallyexhausted after an encounter with them
You feel as though you’re walking on eggshells around them frequently

They comment on the smallest flaw or perceived imperfections

Nothing you can say or do is good enough

You or others are blamed for the negative feelings and circumstances in their life

They violate your boundaries and thy never respect a “NO”

Repeat After Me:

Today I vow to be a cycle breaker in my family. The buck stops with me and the healing in my family starts with me.

I am open and willing to see myself, learn myself, and accept myself beyond what I have been taught to know about me.

A cycle breaker is someone who recognizes harmful or dysfunctional traits that exist in the culture of their family and decides to discard these traits and trade them in for something different. This can be life changing and liberating work that unfortunately may trigger a negative response in other family members.

Cycle breakers: Those who come from childhoods with struggles such as abuse, dysfunction, control, blame, shame, addiction, or neglect… but they break the cycle.

To be a cycle breaker means to stand apart from the family and forge a new path away from the trauma and the heartbreak that keeps spreading over-and-over again.Apr 12, 2021

Be your own advocate. One thing I've learned is that people will treat you how you let them treat you. ...

Listen to the friends you trust. ...

Get out of the bubble. ...

Decide what love means for you. ...

Set boundaries.
